Last Aunt.
My Aunt Mary was confirmed to have colon cancer today.
She is 85 and by her own admission "A good old fashioned Baptist"
She is very apprehensive, and nervous about the operation to have the rest of the ''bad juju'' taken out and also nervous about the recuperation period.
no date for the operation at this time.

Prayer For The Families
5-10-07 My sons mother-in-law passed away. She was 58 and my daughter-in-law is having a hard time with it.
today 5-15-07, one of my last two aunts went home, she was 85
The unfortunate truth is that both these ladies without an absolute last moment confession is 'left behind'
The families need prayer.

This was from Kateri on Sunday. She feels better today, but stayed home from work and says that the last time this happened it took a while for her to recover. She asks that we continue to pray for her.
"For some reason, I can't breathe and if it doesn't get better, I may have to go to the er. I haven't had to use an inhaler in years, but even my inhaler isn't working."

Hi fellow GOPers (aka Good Guys by Cyber Pastor). I know you haven't seen Penguin ComPassion for a while. That is because I have been very busy this past few days. My brother is over here and I haven't been on the computer since he came. So, tell the Lib bloggers that they didn't chase me away. I'll be back. When, I don't know.
Also, during the last half of this month and part of next month, I'll be going to Peru on a short term mission trip. If you can, please pray for me. I won't be on the blogs either. Thank you in advance. Have a wonderful day.

From Mark Harvey (p20g/Border Boy):
I am scheduled for angioplasty this coming Thursday, 3/1/07, at 1300 hours. Check-in time is 1100 hours and it will be an overnight stay.
The Cardiologist says that the problem(s) is(are) partial blockages in the smaller vessels around the heart. If he cannot repair via the angioplasty, real by-God surgery will take place.

Tuesday @ 12:15 Eastern time, my friend and board member Georgia Wright will be having outpatient surgery to have a port inserted so that she can begin chemo. As you know, she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Also, pray for her husband Ernie who is in the terminal stages of Alzheimer's and has been placed in a nursing home.
Thanks,
Pastor Ed

This came in from Mark at 10:07 am Eastern Time:
Just in case...
…you don’t hear from me for a while, I am on my way to the emergency room at my wife’s demand.
I am experiencing chest pain, numb left arm, tingling in the finger tips, shortness of breath and dizziness.
This has been going on for a LONG time but just little while ago, I stood up and fell right back down on my face.
Catch ya later.
God Bless America

Hi Ed,
Not sure how I put this on the Prayer Blog. Tara, Brian's wife is in need of prayer. They have a one year old baby who will now be without her daddy, and Tara without a husband who provided for all his family's needs.
Tara is a good Christian as was Brian so I'm sure God will provide for her just as he does for the birds in the trees.

It is with great regret that we share the sad news of the passing of Brian L. Morris.
On Wed., February 14 Brian was attempting to cough up a plug of mucus and it became stuck in the narrow area of his trachea. At this time he was conducting some business with Tara at their credit union. He had excused himself to go to the restroom when this occured. He was unable to breathe and went into respiratory and cardiac arrest. He was revived by CPR and medics transported him to Scripps Hospital La Jolla. Tests indicated a lack of brain function and over the two days his system began to shut down. He peacefully slipped into the arms of Jesus at 9:49pm, February 16Th.
Brian was a fighter from the moment of birth and went out fighting. We are so grateful to have had two days where we could speak words of love to him. The Lord had given us these days so we could say goodbye for a little while. We have seen the Lord's care and protection throughout these past days. The promises of scripture are real and we are experiencing them in amazing ways.
The Memorial Service will be held at Rancho Community Church Thursday, February 22 at 2:00 pm. Please pass this email on to everyone that you can think of. We earnestly desire to reach out and invite everyone who knew Brian to come, remember and celebrate Brian's life together with us.
Please bring along any special photo's or memories that you would like to share with Tara and Iris. We will be preparing a Memory Book for Iris so that she might know her Daddy's character and the qualities that touched our hearts.
The family is asking that in lieu of flowers or gifts, donations to Iris's College fund be made. A collection will be taken at the service, and we will send another email as soon as the details of the fund are set.
Thank you for your continued prayers.
Love,
The Morris Family

I am recuperating in Kuwait, thank you very much. I am getting around OK but until I am released back to duty, I am stuck here surfing everywhere I can.A comrade turned me onto this site while he was visiting one of his men...some of you know him, or so he says.I take a lot of naps. Can't wait to get back to the sewer called Iraq. I would like to take "kennedy" back with me and show him the "ropes".

Please pray for the family of Diane Miller, a good friend of Susan's. Diane's obit is below, and Susan's post on the Memory Book is below that.
Please pray for Susan as she will be out of town for work and will miss the funeral, unless she is able to make other plans at the last second.
Diane M. Miller, age 50, of Williamstown, NJ, on January 4, 2007. Born in Phila., she lived there before moving to Williamstown 45 years ago. Diane was a member of the Beacon Presbyterian Church in Phila. She was a respiratory therapist at Cooper Medical Center in Camden and a sleep study technician at Nazareth Hospital in Phila. Loving daughter of Doris Miller and the late David W. Miller. Dear sister of David M. Miller (Jan) and Dee Harmon (Sam). Dear aunt of Michelle Chism (JW), David C. Miller (Christine), Neil Hinshillwood and Amber Hinshillwood. Dear grand-aunt of Gabrielle and Nicholas Miller. Also survived by many cousins, other close relatives and friends.
From Susan:
There aren't enough words to express how I feel, how great it was to have Diane a part of our lives, and how sad I feel for the family and especially the nieces and nephews who meant so much to Diane -- that's all she seemed to talk about. I will miss her so much. The boys and I will always remember the camping trips, the poconos, the shore, "Wally World", BEEUUUNA VISTA and its famous "non-denominational church service"; and the time we camped at a lake (I wish I could remember the name) when the kids were little and we threatened to play "Amber Ball" instead of "Volley Ball"; Single Purpose weekends at Cape May and how grateful everyone was that Diane and I bunked together because we both snored so loud no one else wanted us; the late nights at the Diner, and that summer we went to about 10 weddings. I could go on and on. I especially appreciated all those awesome times on New Year's day with pork and sauerkraut where we friends were always treated as family. I could say so much more - I am so glad that God allowed her to be a part of my life. She blessed me so, so much.

2 Rangers (oddly two brothers in the same unit), they need to finish their last class, to rejoin their unit in afghannyland. their unit lost a man two weeks ago.
these two men - I used to call them boys, but just can't do that anymore -(from my church) desparately wanted to quit Ranger school to get back over, their team told them NO. Finish!
they have three weeks to go and must pass the last class to get the desire of their heart.
